Our foundation is based on our love for the Sacramento area. We feel honored to be in a position to support the region, as well as the rest of the valley, as we watch it grow and thrive, rich in culture and humanity. As a family, we are always looking for ways to strengthen our community by supporting entities that share similar views. We fully believe that with hard work, strong commitment, and focused priorities, this great region that we love and call home, can only get better.

Since 1999, the Harvego Family Foundation has invested nearly $2 million into local nonprofit organizations. The Foundation was inspired by the fact that the Sacramento Region has been growing, and firmly believes that it will continue to flourish. We have a vision of both business and nonprofit organizations from throughout the region joining together to meet the needs and broaden the views of their communities.

The Harvego Restaurant Group and the Harvego Family Foundation support numerous charitable organizations in the greater Sacramento region.  We believe that businesses, families and individuals working together can make a difference in our community. Some of the organizations in which we have been involved include:

  • Placer Land Trust
  • California Food Literacy Program
  • California Musical Theatre
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters
  • 916 Ink
  • B Street Theatre
  • Fairytale Town
  • La Raza Galeria Posada
  • River City Food Bank
  • St. Hope Academy
  • Stanford Youth Solutions
  • Wellspring Women’s Center
